Project Management

After nearly 20 years in FOH hospitality sector, I decided to take a break from the service aspect of the position and learn how to build bar/restaurants from the ground up.

In 2018 I took a job with Synergy Construction Group. My first task was to be the Project Engineer of a full first floor renovation with multiple dining areas, pub, bistro and commons. Weeks into the project, I was promoted to Project Manager until project completion.

After knocking out a quick full-building, luxury kitchen build-out in Bucktown, I was introduced to a client of Synergy’s, Mojo Coffee. I quickly accepted an offer from Mojo to be their in-house project manager and was tasked to oversee the upcoming build outs. In my first 7 months, I completed 2 builds in downtown Chicago and helped launch the company into the conversation of desirable Chicago Coffee Roasters.
